The mission of Fokus Praha is to support people with a history of mental illness in their efforts to manage their lives and find opportunities for self-fulfilment in the community

Aim of our services is to support people with mental illness experience in following abilities:

to live in a society, have social relations, family, living and job
to asess his life direction, fulfill his talent, abilities and eminencies
to have life perspective and existencial quarantees
to have basic material needs satisfied
to care for his health and treat his illness
to use cultural and leisure-time institutions, educate himself

XII. CEFEC CONFERENCE
Social Firms - A New Dimension of Enterprise
10th – 12th September 2009, PRAGUE, Czech Republic

We are very pleased to invite you to this year’s annual conference of Social Firms Europe (CEFEC), which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic from 10th – 12th September 2009 and organized by CEFEC, FOKUS - Association for Mental Health Care and FOKUS PRAHA.

This traditional international event brings together those, who are interested or concerned in mental health care, employment of people with various disabilities and especially in alternative employment projects that intend to compete in regular enterprising (e.g. social firms, social co-operatives).

The main topics of the conference are:
• Social enterprising and the current economic crisis. Ethics of enterprising
• Employment as an important instrument of social integration and recovery in mental health care system
• Diversity management
• Economic sustainability and prosperity of a social firm (promotion, business plan, marketing strategies etc.)
• European Social Firm of the Year Award
